Tsugaike Nature Park / Slightly Cloudy2016.Sep.30
Mt. Hakuba (2,932m) is one of the main peaks of Ushiro Tateyama Peaks and has a great popularity as mountain of Japan 100 Mountains. Today’s features are Mt. Hakuba and Autumn tints. The gondola started the operation about 1 hour later because of a machine trouble, so Tsugaike Ropeway had a very long line around 9:30 a.m.

The weather often changed from sunny to cloudy, cloudy to sunny, and it gave the marshes various looks. When the blue sky got to spread out, we could see a beautiful contrast of red and yellow leaves, rocks, green pine trees, and white birch trees.

The overcast weather with Autumn tints was also good. In Yase-one, the leaves were swayed in the chilly wind. Sometimes, these views and atmosphere gave a sign of Winter.

A little gap of the elevation make the park change its colors between the upper part and lower part. The fresh green trees still remained around Karimata-ike Pond. Sarasadodan also changed the color, but seemed to get more bright red as time passed.

The weather got better from 11:30 a.m, so we could see the autumn mountain dyed red and yellow again. Tsugaike Ropeway made extra service because of the good turnout even after the noon.
