Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2016.Jul.18
From July 19 (Sat.) to Aug. 10 (Sun.), the gondola starts the operation at 6:30 a.m. on weekends. Today was a national holiday, so the park was crowded with trekkers with backpacks and hikers. We have had bad weather recently since July 13 (Wed.), but today, we could see the blue sky and Mt. Hakuba-dake in the early morning.

Nikkokisuge in Watasuge Marsh had passed its peak and Kurumayuri (photo) welcomed us with the bright orange petals instead. Hiougiayame was blooming beautifully as well. Hakusanhuro and Momijikaramatsu were also in lively bloom.

Around 8:15 a.m. when I got to Ukishima Marsh, the ridge of Northern Alps went behind the clouds. It was breezing, but the strong sunlight made me sweaty. In Ukishima Marsh and around Ginmeisui, Nikkokisuge started to wither.

In Yase-one, a comfort wind was blowing. When I look down around my feet, I found Gunnaihuro. By the way, the trails and paths from Yase-one to Tenbou Marsh were slushy and slippy, so we needed to walk carefully.

After that, the clouds were still moving fast, and they blocked off the sunlight sometimes. Ibukitoranoo, Otakarakou, Tateyamarindo, Hakusanominaeshi and Gozentachibana were also coming out in each place of the park.
