Ontake 2240 / ◎160cm / Sunny2021.Feb.23
It was raining when I was driving along Route 19 at dawn but it cleared up around 8 am. Unfortunately, the No.7 Quad service was suspended and No.5 Quad was delayed 20 mins due to the strong western wind.

My ski edges gripped the groomed wet snow well and I enjoyed gaining speed on Central Course (pictured). About 3 cm of new wet snow was packed by wind and remained untouched on the left side. New snow remained untouched on the right side of Paradise Course, too.

“I’m on patrol. We’re checking the condition of the features before and after the park opens”, a digger said. Diggers (=those who make a terrain park) at Ontake 2240 are professional snowboarders who won the national /world championships.
[Paradise Course]
Today was a national holiday and the resort was crowded from the morning. Groomed wet snow was partially covered with a thin layer of new snow on Karamatsu Avenue (pictured). I enjoyed skiing down without getting stuck.
