Karuizawa Prince Hotel / △50cm / Cloudy & Sunny2020.Nov.03
The 2020-21 winter season has started in Japan from Snow Park Yeti open on Oct. 30 (Fri) and Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort (Photo) open on Nov. 3 (Tue)!! The people from Tokyo, Kanagawa and Saitama talked to me, “We come riding with the members of Wataru-no-kai! This is our regular annual event at this season!”

The amount of snow officially announced was 50cm deep on this first operation day, thanks to the snowing machines working from Oct. 10 (Sat). The available courses were Prince Trail and Kurinoki Trail and they had 15 meters of width at the widest part. The snow of the slopes was nicely soft because of the rain last night and it was getting softer and wetter as time passed.

At the middle part of Kurinoki Trail, there was a 4m rail, 3m table and 6m wide box. It was easy enough to try and enjoy for beginners, so we could see even kids jumping into it (Photo). At around 10:00 a.m, the clouds were going away and the sun started to shine up the autumn tints around.

To avoid the infections of Coronavirus, there is a capacity limitation of the foody lifts, introduction of the cashless payment of the lift tickets and others. At Restaurant Azelea (Photo) and Trattoria Primo, they reduce their seats to 70% of the usual. The take-away menus are also available at these restaurants. By the way, the ski resort had about 730 visitors as of 10:00 a.m. today as much as usual.
