Hakuba Iwatake / ◎160cm / Snowy2021.Jan.02
The good snow falling from Dec. 30 (Wed) covered all bushes in the slope along Kamo1 (Photo) where had much less snow until the end of the last year. 2 people from Tokyo gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports! We really enjoyed the deep fresh snow of 40cm in the off-piste area between Up Bahn and Big Bahn!”
[Up Bahn]
At 10:00 a.m, No.1 Parking Area was already full. There were lines of people in front of the lift station and we waited for the gondola for 5 minutes and 3 minutes for 5-sen South (Photo). The slope of South was nicely groomed with the fresh snow and the flat slope was good for cruising.
[South]
East (Photo) was busy with the people who taking lessons or skiing with groups. The slope was as good as South, but we had to care about the other people who were skiing closely. The middle narrow part of Gezan Course was crowded, but we could ski comfortably after that.
[East]
The groomed slope of North was nicely firm and covered with 15cm fresh snow. This area kept a fresh slope for a longer time than South and East, so we could enjoy riding easily. Brothers from Kanto Area (Photo) talked, “We always check your reports! We are now coming back to our home in Omachi City. My father is also enjoying skiing with us together!”
