20032901_iwatake“I always enjoy your report! I usually go to Tsugaike, but today I came to Iwatake because this is the last day of Iwatake” said snowboarder from Toyama Prefecture. As scheduled, Mar. 29 is the final day of Hakuba Iwatake Snowfield this season. Heavy snow had fallen out of season last night, with fresh snow about 20 cm at the foot and about 25 cm at the summit.

20032902_iwatakeBoth East Slope and North Slope (pictured) were comfortable, with fresh snow piled up 5-8 cm on a moderately soft base with wet snow pressed. A customer from Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture, said, “I always enjoy your report! I met Snownavi for the first time.”

20032903_iwatakeDC PARK opened at 9:30 a.m. due to delayed maintenance. Digger said, “It was difficult to collect snow until yesterday because of the lack of snow this season, but today it was difficult to remove snow (laughs).”

20032904_iwatakeA customer from Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, said, “I have a season ticket for Iwatake so I came to last ride of this season. Shiojiri in the morning was piled up about 15cm, and the road to Hakuba was snow all the time.
