Hakuba Norikura / ◎230cm / Snowy2019.Jan.24

19012401_hakunoriWe had heavy snow last night and more than 50 people were waiting in a line for operation of No.10 Pair. “I enjoy your reports! I recommended Hakuba to friends of mine in Gifu before, and we all come together today. I’m looking forward to ride in powder snow!”, a man coming from Nagano Prefecture said.

19012402_hakunoriThe course inspection took long due to the heavy snow and the strong  northerly wind. No.10 Pair was delayed for 5 min and started operation at 9:05 a.m.. Not only skiers & snowboarders on the slope but people on the lift shouted for joy when the first track was left on the Sky View Slope with about 40 cm of fresh snow.

19012403_hakunoriIt was heavily snowy and foggy both at the upper and lower area, however visibility was not bad. The area along No.7 Pair and No.8 Pair was groomed and nicely soft at Satomi Central Slope. About 30 cm of fresh snow lied on the central area of the course.

19012404_hakunoriSelf-responsibility area is one of the great spots of Hakunori. There are lots of powder area on the course, such as the area around No.9 Pair, the western area of No.10 Pair, the slope from No.3 High-speed Pair Lift to Rabbit Course and the upper area of Family Course, and the area around Snake Course. For your information, it’s all “your responsibility”, and the cost and your safety is not assured. Please note it and be careful and enjoy!
