Small snowflakes drifted in the morning. Only No.6 Highspeed Pair started operation as usual, due the delay of inspection. Granular snow, which had melted in the daytime, refroze in the night at Wakaguri Rinkan Course. It was a bit hard but the working of the edges was not bad, so it was good in total.

No.4 Pair lifts started working 15 mintes late. I felt chilly for the temperatude because of the cold northerly wind at Wakaguri Chuo Slope and Highway Course. Wakaguri Chuo Slope was flat and hard. My skis sometimes didn’t run well because of the patches of new snow made by the wind.

No.3 and No.5 Highspeed Pair started working before 9:00. Highway Course was well-compacted but hard as well. I had to run carefully because there were patches of new snow, or I was sometimes stuck in the snow. A man from Taiwan, who has been in Hakuba Village for 2 months, said, “I’m studying Japanes. This is my second time to come to Hakunori” in Japanese fluently.

A man from Nara gave me the watchword, “I enjoy your reports!”. There was about 2cm of light new snow evenly on the Rabbit Course, probably because the wind was not strong. It was the best course today as it was nicely firm and my skis ran very well.
