Goryu &47 / ◎255cm / Light Cloudy2019.Feb.27
It has been gentle and comfortable days since Feb. 24th (Sun.). The sky was covered with thin clouds this morning, but we could see a lot of mountains, including Mt. Amakazari and Mt. Hiuchi in the north and Mt. Azumaya and Mt. Asama in the east. Route 5 and 6 were prepared and compacted with flat granular snow.
[Route 5]
It was good to slide on the groomed burn at the top of Route 1 with fine granular snow compacted well. We could enjoy turning at a high speed because there were few sliders. But the artificial snow was so hard in the first half of the burn around Route 6 continuing to a stop of Line-C.
[The top of Route 1]
Almost all area were covered with 1~2cm artificial snow on hard burns around the bottom of Route 1. The artificial snow was like a cushion this morning, so we could repeat turning comfortably with edges catching snow.
[The bottom of Route 1]
We could enjoy the view of Mt, Goryu (photo) and Japan North Alps at the top of slopes. We had to be careful not to speed up at the bottom of Route 8 with flat granular burns. Three sliders from Osaka talked to us, “The burns are a little bit hard but it’s still good to slide down. Will it be muddy in few hours?”
