It was so peaceful and nice day today and hard to believe it was windy yesterday. It was chilly in the early morning because of radiative cooling, however, it got warmer after the opening. A skier from Ina city, Nagano, gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your reports! I’m going to take a lesson at Hakuba47 Ski Academy today.”

Panorama Course and the upper area of Route8 was well-groomed. It was firm and great, though the snow was not powdery. Many people arrived early as it was weekend. The tracks of pisten disappeared in 30 minutes, however, it remained nice.

The lower part of Route8, Route 5 and 6, were well groomed and great as well. There was about 20 cm of new snow left on the non-groomed area because the gondola and the lifts in the upper area didn’t work yesterday. It crusted a bit, however, the snow was dry and soft. I really enjoyed it.

The upper area of Route1, which got a lot of sunshine, was melting around 10 a.m.. While the lower area of Route1 was a bit hard because of artificial snow, so I made turns carefully.
