Good news! Hiedayama2, Warabidaira and Itadaira One Courses opened and Giant Course reopened as we were blessed with heavy snow last night. “This is our first time here in Cortina. Snow is great both in quality and in quantity.”, three snowboarders from Tokyo said.

I had a floating feeling on 30~35 cm of soft fresh snow in Hiedayama Course 3. The slope was hard and nice, although it was undulating. I skied mowing down some pampas grass in the middle and bottom parts.

Blessed with snow, the slopes were crowded with people, including overseas visitors, although it’s a weekday. Ipponmatsu Course was flat and nice, although it looked rough with lots of trails.

It was pretty chilly with snow blowing hard from the north in the upper area. Meanwhile, snow was falling silently without wind in the base area. The compacted fresh snow was nice on Ikenota Slope.
