Cortina / ◎300cm / Snowy2019.Feb.14
We had really much snow as 300cm since Feb. 2nd (Sat.) thanks to the coldness and snowy days! A lot of people made a line in front of No.2 Quad and No.6 Pair Lift (photo) before working in search of ‘Powder Snow Festival’ this morning. After that, we realized the popularity of the Cortina powder to see a long line of more than 300 people in front of No.4 Pair Lift.

The qualities of snow in the whole area of slopes were perfect powderd. The fresh snow was about 20cm in groomed areas of the lower of Warabi Daira Slope and about 40cm in non-groomed areas of the upper. There were a lot of people using No.6 Pair Lift in the early morning.

After sliding through Mt. Hieda Forest Course, there was about 15cm fresh snow on the compacted ground, we found there was 40–45cm powder snow on Mt. Hieda Course 1. We could enjoy the floating feeling in spite of the poor visibility because of the fog.

We went under the clouds when as skied down to the bottom of No.4 Pair Lift. There was about 10cm fresh snow in groomed wide & flat slope in Ikenota Slope. The slope was crowded with students of Hieizan high school (from Shiga, photo) and other beginners.
