Goryu & 47 / ◎290cm / Slightly Cloudy2019.Feb.15

19021501_goryu47Thin clouds were spreading throughout the sky, but it were clearly visible the Ushiro-Tateyama Mountain Range, Mt. Asama and Mt. Azumaya in the east, Mt. Hiuchi, Mt. Amakazari and Togakushi Mountain Range in the northeast. The air was cold due to radiative cooling although there was thin sunlight and no wind during the day.
[Panorama Course]
19021502_goryu47Slope was in a perfect powder snow condition and sounded when stepping on! I could repeat the turns pleasantly at Panorama Course and the upper part of Route 8 where the powder snow was groomed moderately firm. In addition, the fog ice wrapped around the upper part of the ski resort was beautiful.
[Upper part of  Route 8]
19021503_goryu47In the upper part of the Route 1 was well groomed and it got frimer as I skied down. However, it does not change that it is very nice powder snow. Some advanced riders rode down on speed was impressive. Route 5 and 6 was firm and beautiful condition to ride.
[Upper part of Route 1]
19021504_goryu47Two gentlemen from Australia told me, “We are staying in Hakuba village for 4 weeks on vacation.” Route 2 was covered with small moguls but it was easy to challenge with snow soft. The lower part of Route 1 was very firm.
