Cortina/ ◎190cm/ Overcast2019.Jan.17

19011701_cortinaThere was a little blue sky but it was cloudy in the east this morning. The cloud was running at high speed in the sky, on the other hand, the wind in the slope was blowing weakly, so it was comfortable. Just after opening, there were clouded with many skiers and snowboarders, including school trip groups and international visitors.

19011702_cortinaRabbit Course has been groomed finely, so the condition was really good with the powdered snow. We could turn again and again with the edges catching snow. Ikenota Slope was nice condition for every level skiers and snowboarders thanks to widely groomed slope.

19011703_cortinaIn Warabidaira Slope, the steep slope in the first half was groomed firm and the gentle slope in the second half was groomed nicely firm. So both were good to slide. The advanced skiers and snowboarders enjoyed turning at high speed on the steep slope and beginners were sliding at low speed in the detour course. Ipponmatsu Course was groomed flat with powdered snow.

19011704_cortinaThe view of hoarfrost in the upper area of the slope was wonderful and `hoarfrost tunnel’ at the early stage of Hieda Forest Course (photo) was fascinating. Hieda Forest Course was groomed well and soft. Itadaira Course has not been groomed but the snow was dry and soft, so we could enjoy skiing there.
