The blue sky was spread beautifully. The chill came back a little and the cool weak wind blew constantly, so although the sun was shining strongly, it was comfortable weather. Ikenota was crowded with mainly families from early in the morning.

The operation of No.1 Pair was delayed for 10 minutes. Ippon-matsu Course was groomd finely and corn snow was nicely firm. I could make turns comfortably. Right after the opening, many intermediate and advanced riders rode down without stopping.

Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course was groomed well. The slope was firm at the upper part and as we skied down, the snow got soft. But at the shadowed areas, the snow got loose late. The feel of snow were very different depending on the sunshine. The non-groomed Mt. Hieda Course 1 was covered with small bumps. The bumps were nicely soft and I could try easily.

Itadaira Course wasn’t groomed today, too. There were small ups and downs at the entire course. But the snow got loose, so the edge worked well and it was in good condition to ski. Ikenota was firm and flat right after the opening, but at 9:30 a.m., it got slushy and soft.
