The spring season has started today and only 3 lifts; No.1 Pair, No.2 Quad, No.4 Pair will operate and the lift price becomes cheaper. Father of a family from Yokohama City, Kanagawa Pref. said, “Cortina is very convenient because there’s a hotel complex at the foot of the ski area.” Then, his daughter said with smile, “Even if I get lost, I can wait at the kiosk in the hotel, enjoying tasting souvenirs.”

The blue sky was beautiful and the sun was strong today. I felt hot even before I started skiing. Well groomed Ipponmatsu Course was melted soft and slushy even before the open. The edges of my skis got deep into snow but skis ran well and I could enjoy skiing comfortably.

A father and his son from Aichi Pref. said, “We always enjoy your reports. We arrived yesterday and stayed one night. I’m so happy that I’m able to enjoy skiing under the beautiful weather!” Mt. Hieda Forest at the top of the skis area was soft as well. While, the granular snow was slushy and soft at Itadaira Course. As I skied down, the soft layer got thicker and I felt snow heavy.

Although it was a weekday, Ikenota was very crowded, especially with families. A family from Shiga Pref. said, “We always enjoy your reports. I brought our children this time. We’ll also stay tomorrow and the following day, so don’t mind if you cannot post our photo today.”
