Lilly Garden finished the operation on Aug. 27, Iwatake was opened mainly for MTB and events on Sept. 9 & 10, 16, 18, 23 & 24. And open everyday as “Autumn Forest Mountain View” from Sept. 30. There were not only tourists but many mountain bikers in this 3 day weekend.

“Trial Pack” for the beginners were available and everyone can experience mountain bikes easily. The pack contain with round trip of the gondola, rental MTB (2hrs) and Iwatake-no-yu discount coupon and fee is JPY3,600 for adult and JPY2,000 for children. 2 courses, Summit Touring Course and Fun Ride Course, are available.

The leaves of the trees in the summit area started to get coloured from this weekend. The temperature in the morning was 15 degree Celsius and it was comfortable to take a walk.

The colour of the leaves inside the forest was paler than from the view from the surroundings. I also found the leaves on the foot got coloured and the leaves of young and short trees also getting to oranges and yellows.

It was very cool and comfortable in the shadows but the sunlight was strong on the sunny place and I felt hot. From the north-side of summit area I could see the beautiful autumn tints of Tuga-no-mori (Tsugaike).
