In this week, it has been cloudy and rainy. Today, the temperature was 22 degrees in the village area and 18 degrees in the summit area. It was very cool, unusually in the summer. The lilies in the left side of the summit station of the gondola started to bloom already and some people took photos of them with tripods.

In the main area of the summit, 40,000 bulbs of lilies were planted in the beginning of this season. Walking paths are also newly open along the lily gardens so that we can walk among flowers. 30% of the lilies in the yellow area were blooming beautifully with their petals and leaves wet with dew.

By the way, the condition of the lilies in the summit is as good as those in the village area and the stems looked to be fine. White and orange lilies also got blooming in the lower part of the main area and the view made me expect the awesome lilies in the peak season.

Sukashiyuri in the village lily garden has past their peak season from July 19 to 25. The five-layered area was the fastest area where the flowers started to wither, especially, the orange, pink and white lilies. Those in Up Bahn had just started to drop the petals as well. However, the hybrid lilies in front of the red pine forest were still beautiful and they had sweet smell.

At the lily market, sale has already started! 3 pots of Blooming Sukashiyuri (not buds) are JPY1,000 (*JPY500 per pot at the usual price). At that time, Tiny Double You and Lolipop started bloom.
