The white slopes have come back! After it got cold again on Apr. 5 (Mon), the stronger coldness brought a snowfall to the mountains from the last evening to this morning and to the village last night. The groomed slope of Tsuga-no-mori (Photo) was in corn snow condition, but nicely firm, so we could enjoy speedy riding very comfortably.

A couple from Osaka (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We prefer this firm slopes rather than wet and soft slopes.” Although we could see the blue sky after snow stopped at around 9:00 a.m, it started to blow a north cold wind.

In contrast to Tsuga-no-mori, the groomed slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair was dirty a little and in wet condition. However, my skis still ran well there. 2 people from Shizuoka talked, “We love Tsugaike and always come riding here on a one-day trip. Today is the last day in this season, so we will enjoy fully!”

The groomed slope of Gotenba Course melted faster than Tsuga-no-mori because it faces the east, but its slope was still keeping the whiteness and in good condition enough to ski smoothly even on the flat slope. This morning, Kane-no-naru-oka where was already closed was also covered with snow, but it already thawed at all after 10:00 a.m.
