There was snowfall at the top of the ski area on Mar, 24 (Tue), but on the following Mar, 25 (Wed) most of the lower part of the ski area was closed, and it is open on four slopes(Tsuga-no-mori, Gotemba, Han-no-ki, Oya-no-hara). Two ski staff said, “I’m always watching! Parker is hot today when it’s off.”

Certainly, today, unlike yesterday, the temperature was high from the beginning and it was hot around 8:30a.m.. The Gotemba course, which has beautifully compacted snow, is the best slippery of today when the snow is properly tightened. The area along the high-speed pair of Han trees was moist, and after the middle stage the loose layer became thicker as it slid down.

At the end of Han-no-ki, the snow was cut off at the altitude near the point of contact with the Maruyama slope, so we walked a long distance to the gondola middle station. On the Oya-no-hara slope of “Sharashara”, there are places with light snow and soil. A family from Nara Prefecture was playing sledging in the compacted snow area.

Go back in time and be the first in the morning. On the Tsuga-no-Mori Slope where the snow was tight, the turns could be repeated comfortably. A local team from Otari-mura, who was preparing for pole training, wrote the password, “I’m always watching!”
