Tsugaike Kogen/ ◎140cm / Snowy2020.Jan.20
It was snowing with the hard westerly wind blowing in Tsuga-no-mori Slope this morning. I saw many people enjoying about 20 cm of non-compacted “fluffy” fresh snow. My ski edges dug into the soft compacted snow well and I enjoyed carving.

It got foggy for a while in the middle part of Han-no-ki Slope but it was okay. The compacted snow was soft along Han-no-ki High-speed Pair Lift, especially in the middle and bottom parts. There were lots of trails left on 15-20 cm of fresh snow on the sides of the middle steep slope (pictured).

Maruyama Slope (pictured) was empty, while Hannoki Slope was crowded. About 1 cm of fresh snow was nice, compacted firmly. I enjoyed making big and small turns.

“We enjoy your reports! We’re visiting Tsugaike every week. We have practice with other seven skiers today.”, three from Kobe, Hyogo said. The snow calmed down and I was able to see the blue sky in the north around 9:30 a.m.
