Our daily slope report, “Slope Diary”, started on Oct.28 (Sun) and after half a year, it’s finally coming to an end. This is our last report. “We enjoy your reports. We come skiing in Tsugaike every weekend and we’ll keep coming until May. 5!”, two skiers from Nagoya, Aichi said.

There was a strong westerly wind blowing in the early morning. However, the wind gradually calmed down and the sunlight got stronger. Tsuga-no-mori Slope and Hannoki Slope started getting crowded around 9 a.m. I enjoyed making turns as I imagined at Tsuga-no-mori, which was covered with nicely granular and loose snow.

The snow was loose and soft along Hannoki High-speed Pair compared to Tsuga-no-mori Slope. The snow surface was a bit dirty but my skis ran smoothly. Tsugaike Ropeway will be available until May. 6 (Mon), when the slope will be closed. There was extra ropeway service today in addition to the regular service operated every 30 minutes.

I saw people hitting a kicker one after another at TG PARKS. By the way, the amount of snow was announced to reach 115 cm, which was 50 cm more compared to one year ago. The three courses must keep in nice condition until the final day. Thank you for reading our reports this season and we hope you enjoyed them.
