Tsugaike Kogen /◎285cm/ Sunny2019.Mar.09
It’s a mild winter throughout the season all over Japan, especially until the beginning of January and from the middle of February we didn’t have much snow. But in Tsugaike Kogen, we have one of the largest amount of snow like Nozawa Onsen and Madarao Kogen in Nagano Prefecture. It was a nice morning with a blue sky and no wind!
[The distant view of slopes]
In Tsuganomori Slope and along Hannoki high-speed pair lift more than 30cm fresh snow had been groomed by pistens and it was good condition with compacted powdered snow. There were more granular snow from the middle of Hannoki Slope (photo) as sliding down, but it was nice to slide down on compacted and flat burns.

Sliders from Matsumoto said, “We always read your reports!” Visitors came earlier because of weekends, and there were also a lot of people talked to us.

In Kanenonaru Oka the 2nd Slope and Kanenonaru Oka Slope, the compacted and hard granular burns became muddy with the strong sunshine just one hour after opening. In both slopes, we could enjoy sliding on the flat & super wide burn!
