Because of the southern strong wind, the gondola didn’t work from Shirakaba station to the summit station. At first, the snow fluttered but soon it started to fall heavily. Groomed Oya-no-hara was moderately soft and it was in good condition to ski, so the slope was crowded with many families and the beginners.

Han-no-ki No.3 Quad was also delayed because of the strong wind, so many visitors came to Shirakaba Quad. The couple from Toyama Pref. said, “We always enjoy your report! Actually we met in our job, but both of us have skied at Tsugaike since we were children. We got excited with the topic, and at last, we got married!”

When I went to Han-no-ki through Forest course, the wind got weaker and Han-no-ki No.3 Quad had already begun working. The bottom of Han-no-ki was nicely firm and covered with thin fresh snow and it was in good condition to ski.

In the early morning, the temperature was -6 degrees, but I didn’t feel cold, thanks to the southern wind. Maruyama was maintained well. When I made turns, the edge bit the snow well and the ski ran fast.
