It was sunny on the upper areas in the early morning, but it was getting cloudy and the sunshine was blocked off sometimes after the ski resort was open. It was very cold today as well and slightly snowing. We could see the peaks of Northern Alps during on the gondola, however, the mountains had gone behind the clouds around 8:30 a.m.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
The condition of snow was so amazing! The groomed slope of Tsuga-no-mori was nicely firm and I saw experts skiing down with high speed smoothly. In off-piste area on the sides, there was 5cm very light fresh snow.

The slope of Han-no-ki was also nicely firm and in good condition from the top to bottom. The 3-kilometer long run was popular, so a lot of people skied there by the gondola. I met 3 girls from Osaka, Tokyo and Hakuba and they were enjoying snowboarding on the good snow.

As I skied down, we had the sunlight from the lower part of Han-no-ki. The wide slope of Kane-no-naru-oka No.2 was flat and nicely firm. There were just a few people in the early morning, so I could ski on the fresh run again and again.
