Tsugaike Kogen / ◎290cm / Sunny2018.Feb.02
The snowfall stopped at 7:30 a.m. and blue sky started to spread as the forecast said. The students of Ritsumeikan University gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” They were practicing hard for “45th Student Ski Competition IWATAKE”. The widely groomed Champion was nicely firm and people were skiing there again and again.

Turn back the time to early in the morning. There was about 8 cm of fluffy fresh snow at the top of the ski area without wind. The groomed slopes of Tsuga-no-mori and Han-no-ki were nicely firm and I could make turns as I imagined.

There were little clouds but the view of Northern Alps was fantastic from the gondola and top of the ski area. By the way, “SUBARU Snow Slope Taxi” will be held at Oya-no-hara on Feb. 3 & 4. The schedules is 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the morning and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
