The amount of snow was officially announced to be 395 cm on Feb. 23 (Thu), which was at the peak, and it had been gradually declining. However, it increased again to 385 cm thanks to the snow which had fallen since Mar. 7 (Tue). 4 people from Kyoto, Osaka, and Hyogo respectively, spoke to me at Tsuga-no-mori. The clouds broke, and the sun came out. So, it was mild and ideal day for skiing!

Tsuga-no-mori Slope was well-compacted with powder snow. It was nicely firm and I could enjoy turning rhythmically. Also, the non-compacted foundation with 13 cm of fresh snow was not so wet and nicely soft.

The sun got stronger around 9:00 am, and the surface of snow was glaring. The whole parts of Han-no-ki Slope, which were well-prepared, were also nicely soft and good for skiing.

Maruyama Slope was completely compacted, flat and not crowded. So, I felt as if it had been my private slope, though it was a weekend. All compacted slopes in the lower area were also nicely firm with powder snow and in good condition for skiing, thanks to the snow that had fallen. Clouds are drifting in the sky and the sun sometimes went behind clouds..
