The temperature was dropped to 10 degree below zero and diamond dust (tiny ice crystals that forms near the ground and glittering under clear sky) was seen at the upper part of ski area. But there was no wind and the sun was shining, so it was comfortable morning.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
The groomed slope of Tsuga-no-mori was nicely firm and I could ski easily. It was great joy to make the first track on such a beautiful run! The non-groomed area was bumpy & firm and covered with 5 cm fluffy fresh snow.

The slope along the Han-no-ki High Speed Lift was also flat and powdery snow condition. The run of the middle part to the last part of Han-no-ki got bit firmer but groomed nicely. The edges of my skis were working well and I could make turns as I imagined.

Around 9 a.m. the sky was covered by the thick clouds and beginning to feel cold. The widely groomed slopes of Shirakaba and Champion were nicely firm, Karamatsu and Oya-no-hara were moderately firm, and I could ski very comfortably at these areas.
