Today, on Dec 8 (Thu), Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort starts 2016-17 winter operation. Thanks to the snow of the latest 2 days, the snowfall at the upper is over 60cm. It starts the winter operation the earliest in HAKUBA VALLEY! When I came to Han-no-ki by gondola, which began to work at 8:30 a.m., I saw powdery snow there.

Now the available area is along Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair (790m). The snow was entirely compacted and the 7cm fresh snow put on the surface flatly. The amount of the compacted snow was over 25cm, and there were no bushes. The Ski Resort opened suddenly, so I had skied all on the slopes to myself until 10:00 a.m.

The fallen snow was over our knees at Tsuga-no-mori, which was not compacted. It had snowed since last night, but it stopped after the opening, finally we can sometimes see blue sky. According to the weather forecast, it will snow on this weekend. It is likely to start the operation at Tsuga-no-mori in a few days, depending on snowfalls.

At the middle part of ski slope, the snowfalsl at Shirakaba and Champion are 40cm. At the bottom, the snowfall at Oya-no-hara is 30cm. From today to Dec 16 (Fri), we offer Advance Lift Ticket. Adult 1-day Lift Pass costs 3,700 JPY. Child 1-day Lift Pass costs 2,200 JPY.
