Ryuoo Ski Park was open on Dec. 4 (Sat) as scheduled this season and blessed with good snow. Now, the snow amount reached 350cm deep and this is one of the top ten in Japan. 2 people from Saitama Prefecture who were taking photos at SORA terrace said, “We came snowboarding with our 4 friends together today. This is our first time to visit Ryuoo and we had a great time!”

It was snowing lightly in Valley Area, but it was getting more heavily as I went up to the summit area by Ryuoo Ropeway (2,292m) and Sky Land No.1 Quad (1,073m). The groomed slope of Sky Land A Course was nicely firm and topped with fluffy and smooth 8cm fresh snow.

After enjoying this powdery snow fully, I visited SORA terrace cafe. In this roomy and relaxing cafe, we can enjoy selected coffee, smoothie, original drinks, alcoholic drinks and foods of Hot Pot Pie Soup, Rice Omelet, Fruit Toast topped with Jersey Milk Ice and others.

I could enjoy smooth turns on the nicely firm groomed slopes of Valley No.4 (Photo), Valley No.1 and Valley No.3 where had also 8cm fresh snow on them. By the way, the night skiing operation is held every day except for Sunday from 5:00 p.m. in Valley No.1 and Valley No.4 is also available on every Saturday.
