Before the ski area was open, I met a group of 5 people from Kita-kyushu City in Fukuoka Prefecture who had driven about 1,000km this morning and they gave me a greeting, “Good morning! It is forecast to be worse from now, but we hope this cloudy weather will remain today.” It was blowing a south wind strongly and I felt pushed by a gale sometimes.

Anyway, the coming weekend will be the last operation day of Kurohime after the 1 week extension. The snow remained still 160cm deep, so no bushes were exposed on the courses. The corn snow groomed slope was nicely firm in Shirakaba Course (Photo) and I could enjoy skiing at high speed there.

There were mogul courses on the skier’s right side of Shirakaba Course (Photo) and on the skier’s left side of Cosmos Course. It started to rain slightly at 10:00 a.m. After that, all lifts were closed temporarily because of the strong wind.
[Shinanoki Course]
I saw a child excited like “Strider is a lot of fun!” and his father (Photo) said, “It is a good point that we can play with sleds or striders on a long slope by lifts.” The sleds were running so well today on the nicely firm groomed slope of KUROHIME FAMILY PARK, so children making shouts of joy as if to ride a roller coaster. By the way, “Thanks-giving Event” will be held tomorrow on Mar. 27 (Sun)!
