“Nagano Open Cross Game Kashimayari CUP” started at 9:10 am on the special course leading from the upper Maruyama Slope to the lower Course1-C. A total of 68 participants joined in 6 classes: men’s skis, women’s skis, men’s snowboard, women’s snowboard, mixed-gender skis, and mixed-gender snow scoot.

Participants started official training seriously at the starting gate at 9:50 am. The tournament began at 11 am. The top 3 skiers in each class will be commended and receive a luxurious prize, such as skis and outerwear.

The snow cleared up around 7 am. It skied smoothly on the special run blanketed with about 1 cm of new light snow. The snow was gradually melting in the strong sunlight.

There was 1~2 cm of new snow on the tightly-packed granular snow on Course1-A and Kurosawa Slope. The lower Nakatsuna Slope has been closed due to the lack of snow. You have to go around Nakatsuna Freestyle Park instead.
