Kashimayari / ○90cm / Cloudy & Rainy2020.Mar.27
The little sunlight came through clouds and I was able to see the blue sky, although the weather forecast said it would be rainy. It was warm and the snow melted much yesterday. The snow was decreasing in Course 5-C (pictured right), which has the steepest slope in Kashimayari. Meanwhile, there were some bumps but few bushes and ground exposed in the neighbouring Course 5-B (pictured left).
[Course1: Toomi Grand View A]
There were not many people in Kashima Slope in the early morning. I saw middle and advanced skiers and snowboarders enjoying carving turns. The compacted granular snow was getting loose. I was fully able to enjoy skiing as all bushes were covered with sufficient snow.
[Course3: Kashima Slope]
The snow was loose in Course 5-A, too. My skis ran smoothly and I enjoyed skiiing down fast from the top to the bottom. It suddenly started to rain when I reached the bottom area of Course 5-A around 9:10 a.m.
[Course 5-A]
The ground was partially exposed in the middle area of Course 1-A, which faces south. The snow layer was partially thin on the steep slope at the mountain bottom (pictured back), as you can see from the photo of the same place taken on March 25 (Wed). The granular snow was getting loose and my skis ran smoothly.
