It was a beautiful day in the resort, while it was very windy on the ridge of Mt. Kashima Yarigatake and Mt. Jiigatake. Children were taking the moving walkway and sledding again and again in Shimashika Kids Park, where the snow was well-maintained. For your information, Kids Park will be open for free on weekdays after March 23 (Mon).

The compacted powder snow was nicely soft in Kurosawa Slope. My ski edges cut into the snow well and I enjoyed carving turns. “We look forward to your reports! We were wondering whether we should come to Hakuba or Kashimayari. You know, lifts often stop due to the wind these days. Considering the possibilities, we chose Kashimayari because we had a season ticket.”, two snowboarders from Azumino city (pictured) said.

The compacted powder snow was nicely firm in Course 5-A and 1-A. The non-compacted fresh snow was about 10 cm deep in the Course1-C (pictured). I skied down carefully as there were some bushes and stones under the snow, in addition to the small bumps.

People headed for each item, which was well-maintained, once the park opened. “We look forward to your reports! It’s a beautiful day and the snow is great isn’t it?”, a family coming from Saitama prefecture said.
