Kashimayari / ◎100cm / Sunny2020.Feb.19
Sunny morning. Although it cooled down strongly due to radiant cooling, the sun was strong and the cold stopped shortly after the start of business. The early to middle stages of 1-A are moderately tight, and it is a powdery snow condition that allows you to ride comfortably. The Kashima slope, which had wide snow compaction, was equally slippery.
[Course 1: Tomi Grand View A]
The steep slope at the end of 1-A had snow compaction in about half the width of the skiers’ light course. The right side where the artificial snow got on slightly was hard, but the edge was firmly slid and I could slide with confidence.
[Course 1: Tomi Grand View A]
1-C, which has snow compacted in about half of the course width, is moderately soft and slippery. Although it was slightly undulated on the snow surface, it was generally flat. The unevenness was noticeable in the 1-C non-compacted snow area and the 1-B of the entire uncompacted snow.
[Course 1: Tomi Grand View C]
On the Kurosawa slope where the snow was compacted properly, the edge was effective and the turn could be repeated comfortably. On the 5-A side, there was compacted snow with a width of about three Pistens each in the skiers’ left across this area (photo) and the non-compacted snow area. This was also moderately tight and slippery like the second pair.
