The large and wet snowflake were falling heavily at Nakatsuna area, but at Central area the snowflakes were small and dry. In the early morning, a man from Omachi, who skied down Ippon-buna Downhill said, “There are more snow than I have expected!” There were about 40 cm bit heavy fresh snow and the snowfall from last night was more than expected!

The groomed run of Kurosawa was covered with about 20 cm fresh snow. Judging from this condition, the snow was falling heavily from the early morning. The temperature was -2 degrees, and it was not so cold and the snow was a little heavy, but thanks to the flat foundation I could repeat the turns comfortably.

The skier’s right at the last part of Course 1-A was groomed for two grooming vehicle wide and covered with about 20cm fresh snow. And 40 cm fresh snow on the non-groomed area. I saw the many experts were skiing down with snow spray.

The students, from Osaka by bus tour, said with big smile, “We fall down many times, but we are having fun!” Kashima area also had many fresh snow, and the beginners had trouble to get out from fresh snow at the gentle slope.
