Hakuba Iwatake / ◎190cm / Light Snowfall2021.Feb.26
We had only individual competition in the “National Student Iwatake Ski Competition (Demo Skiing Division)”. this year. The preliminaries took place on Feb.23 (Tue) and 24 (Wed) and then the final took place on 25 (Thu). 242 male skiers (in the top 240) and 121 female skiers (in the top 120) joined in the final.

“Downhill”, “parallel giant slalom”, and “parallel slalom” events took place in the light snowfall in Big-Bahn and Up-Bahn. Ms.Mayu Omoto (Basic Ski Team RUBBISH, Tokyo University of Agriculture) was in first place with a score of 793 (pictured).Ms.Yuki Aihara was in second place, only 2 points behind Ms.Omoto.

Mr. Yuki Nakamura (Austria Ski Club, Meiji Gakuin University) was in first place with a score of 803 by 8 points (pictured). “I regularly check your website! I’ll win this competition! I’m looking forward to seeing your posts!”, he said. I also saw members of Meijo University Ski Club around the goal point. “We look forward to your posts!”, they also said.

“Hi, how are you? Could you take a photo of us?”, members of Shinshu University Ski Club said. We have neither group nor rookies competition this year. We don’t compete total scores either. Nevertheless, students were enjoying the game to the fullest.
