The temperature was high from the early morning and it was calm and balmy weather. At around 10 a.m., South was melted nicely and in good condition to ski. I skied slowly enjoying the view of Hakuba Sanzan in the east and the country view of Hakuba in the south.

“Team & Kids Cup” by Hakuba Iwatake Snowboard School was held at South. The riders gathered at the starting point after the course inspection and the final was started from 11:15 a.m. after pre-run.

2 riders will start in the same time in the final, both Men’s and Women’s. The race was contested by the total time of 1st & 2nd run and self-reported time of 3rd run. 8000JPY will be given to the winner. Although it was a competition, atmosphere at the starting point was peaceful.

Sawa and Gezan Course were melted nicely and the skis were running well. The layer of soft snow was thick at Sunny Valley and Paradise and became very rough. The skis ran well but it was difficult to make turns. By the way, there were no waiting line at the gondola and the lifts.
