Iwatake/ ◎220cm / Sunny2018.Feb.23
The clouds covered the ridgelines of Hakuba Sanzan but it was gently sunny. East area was groomed beautifully and nicely firm. The slopes were quiet since it’s a weekday morning and it was the best place for practicing without worrying about others.
[East]
There used to be less international visitors at the end of February but it has changed in the past few years and I saw many international visitors this morning as well. Almost all the visitors enjoyed about 3.8 km long slope from Gezan to Sunny Valley and Paradise with using the gondola.
[Gezan]
South area was groomed flatly and widely, which was in a good condition. The edges of skis bit the snow surface well and I could make turns as I imagined. Many visitors were headed to Gezan course so the corduroy pattern in South area remained for a long time.
[South]
The beginning of Sunny Valley Course was a bit hard but the skis didn’t come off. The slopes were firm at the middle of Sunny Valley and in Kometsuga Course. The snow melted a bit in Paradise since the morning sun was shining.
