Today is the final day of Student Ski Competition (Demo Skiing). In Group Acting, 1 team includes 6 people in Male Division and 4 people in Female Division. They compete for the total points of “Compulsory” and “Free”. It was snowing heavily even in the mountain foot and the competition started 30 minutes later than schedule.

Group Acting (Free) was held today and each ski clubs showed original and unique performance. In Female Division, Hokkaido University Demo Skiing Club Ⅰ got the 1st prize. When the electric scoreboard told the points, a great cheer arose suddenly.

In Male Division, Hokkaido University Elegant Ski Club Ⅰ stood first in both of “Compulsory” and “Free”, which had won Group Acting in the last year. The temperature was getting better as time passed and the prize-giving ceremony will be held at 2:00 a.m. after that.

By the way, there was over 20cm fresh snow in Mountain Side thanks to the heavy snowfall in the last night. People from Shizuoka Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” and showed their skillful riding on the fluffy snow in VIEW B. There was 10cm fresh snow in Village Side and it made the groomed areas in better condition.
