Iwatake / ◎160cm / Snowy & Rainy2017.Jan.30
It was raining at the village as the weather forecast said. 5cm fresh wet snow, that fall last night, and groomed run got heavier as snow absorbed the moisture. The run of Paradise also absorbed the moisture and the skis were not running. On the Village Side, there were few people and only the beginners were practicing at the base area.
[Paradise]
At the summit I felt relieved to see the snow. “We always see the website!” said the senior students of Shinshu University cheerfully. According to them, now they were in the midst of the winter vacation and they have free time until they start their job in spring. (I really envy them!)
[Gezan]
The groomed runs of Gezan, Sunny Valley and South were already covered with 1-2 cm fresh snow that started to fall from the morning. The snow was soft and wet, so the skis were not running and it was difficult to skiing with speed. The thick fog covered the summit area. As I skied down to the Chuou Kousoku summit station the visibility began to get better.
[Sunny Valley]
Although the thick fog covered the Mountain-side, many visitors were skiing there where snow was falling. At Sunny Valley there were only few people. When I skied down to Kometsuga Course, it turned to rain and my wear got wet again.
