It was sunny and calm Christmas morning. The trees were covered with frosts at the summit of Iwatake. Many people were taking off the boards and enjoying the view of Northern Alps. The cool air and warm sunlight was comfortable this morning.

North and East areas are available this morning as well. North area was groomed very well to middle part of the course and corduroy pattern was beautiful. But last part of the course was groomed roughly and there were icy areas and thin places of snow.

I felt the experts snowboarder’s ride was making Iwatake’s atmosphere this morning. The edges were gripping the snow very well and I could turn very smoothly.

The East was groomed powder condition as well. Many beautiful traces were drawn on flat trail. The snow canon was in operation at the base area using advantage of low temperature in the morning.
