It was cloudy again. However, there was no wind in the lower area of Risen Grat today (pictured). According to the weather forecast, another cold front will approach Hakuba on Dec.30 (Wed). It will be much cold this time, compared to the arrival of the first cold front from Dec.13 (Sun) to 20 (Sun).

It was warm today. The powdery snow was hard-packed along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (pictured). I had fun carving turns on the wide slope.

“I’m checking your reports! Happo is my favorite. I arrived yesterday and I’ll stay until Dec.30 (Wed). I have work on New Year’s Eve.”, a skier coming from Kobe city, Hyogo prefecture said. The snow was hard-packed in the top area of Usagidaira (pictured), while the snow was moderately packed in the middle and bottom area.

The snow was groomed from one end to the other in the upper area of Riesen Grat Course (pictured). Meanwhile, the groomed area was twice as wide as a pisten on the lower steep slope (pictured in the first photo). The powdery snow was moderately packed. “We’re checking your reports. We’re staying for three days from yesterday. We come skiing in Hakuba at the end of each year.”, family members coming from Mie prefecture said.
