We had heavy snow again last night like the night before. The 24-hour snowfall reached 50 cm in the upper area. Grad Quad was suspended due to the blizzard. Meanwhile, Gondola and Alpen Quad started working on time. I saw many skiers/snowboarders going down Kurobishi (pictured) and Usagidaira Slope.
[Kurobishi Slope]
The snow was non-compacted along Kurobishi No.3 Pair, which was about 40~50 cm deep (Shown in the first photo). I didn’t feel the bottom because heavy bottom snow was covered with fluffy powder snow. Meanwhile, I had a floating sensation along Alpen Quad because of the big bumps and deep fresh snow (Shown in the second photo).
[Usagidaira Slope]
The slope was busy with skiers/snowboarders enjoying powder snow and I heard people shouting here and there. “This is like a party”, a visitor from abroad said. Visibility gradually got poor due to the snow and the fog.
[Usagidaira Slope]
I enjoyed soft snow on the southern compacted area of Usagidaira, which was covered with 15 cm of fresh snow. I had a chat with many visitors this morning as usual. At least, three groups of skiers/snowboarders said “Are you okay?”, when I was trying to stand up after a fall near Kurobishi No.3 Pair Lift in the morning in the blizzard. Thank you, everyone.
