Happo One / ◎290cm / Sunny2019.Feb.18

19021801_happoBlue skies spread and we could see the view of Ushirotateyama mountains, including Goryudake (photo), Japan North Alps. The air was so cold because of radiative cooling in the early morning, but the sunlight was strong and there was no wind, so we didn’t feel cold so much. There was a line of people for winter mountain climbing and backcountry in front of Grat Quad.
[Riesen Grat Course]
19021802_happoRiesen Grat Course has been groomed well, so it was easy to slide down with soft powdered snow. We could ski at a high speed in the widely groomed area in the steep slope of the second stage. The non-groomed area had some moguls but it was still soft and good condition for trying to slide down.
[Riesen Grat Course]
19021803_happoThe early stage of the south in Usagidaira has been groomed firm and from the middle to the last was nicely firm and good condition. We could turn again and again in wide & flat Panorama Course with powder groomed snow. By the way, in the south of Panorama Course,  ‘HYAKATSU-SLOPE’ is now open.
[Panorama Course]
19021804_happoWe had to be careful not to speed up on groomed slope in Central Course. The powdered feeling disappeared from the middle of Central Course but the condition was still good. There appeared dried granular snow from Shirakaba Slope.
