The strong cold came back again and I got frozen when I was standing at the upper part of the ski area. 5 cm fresh snow was on the groomed area of Usagidaira which was moderately firm and flat. Lots of skiers and snowboarders started to ride the slope from early in the morning.

Every groomed area were in good conditions but especially along Kurobishi No.2 was amazing. The area above Skyline Course sometimes had covered with so less people tried to ride down fast.

A man told me that he moved to Nagano from Kobe recently and he was in day-off so he could go ski not only Happo also other areas. He also told me that he would attend the class of avalanche held by a tourist board of Hakuba Village.

Skyline, Sakka and Usagidaira were all in good conditions. The course between Skyline and Sakka was a bit hard. Since at the middle and upper level were covered with fog, Sakka was crowded with lots of people like it was a weekend.
