It was slightly snowing in the early morning, but the clouds broke up and the sun started to cast the sunlight at around 8:00 a.m. Although it was blowing a wind gently in the upper areas, I did not feel cold at all. The weather forecast proved wrong and there was 5－6cm fresh snow in the sides of slopes.

Panorama Course was groomed well. The run was nicely firm and covered with 1cm damp fresh snow. My skis ran well and edges worked finely, so I could turn as I imagined. I found many experts warming up there in the morning.

When I got off Alpen Quad, I could see the little sea of clouds in the east. The south area of Usagidaira and the slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad were also groomed well and covered with 1－2cm fresh snow. After that, the clouds moved and covered the upper areas, but the visibility was still not bad.

Riesen Slalom Course was also firm and in good condition. This is one of the most popular courses, so a lot of ski tracks were made soon even on a weekday in March. The snow was getting melting as I skied down. In Usuba area, the snow was damp and the slope of Shirakaba was much softer.
