Wakaguri Chuo Slope, Wakaguri Rinkan Course, and Hakunri Family Course were crowded with students on a school trip from Fukuoka. The snow layer was partially thin on the compacted Wakguri Chuo Slope, which was marked with poles. It was firm and nice with bushes and ground covered with sufficient snow.

The snow was compacted on Highway Course. I skied down the upper part carefully as there were bushes and ground uncovered with snow. My skis weren’t damaged, although there were some snowballs (pictured) in the middle and lower parts. I saw some bushes still exposed in the bottom part.

There were some snowballs on the compacted Rabbit Course, too.”This is our first time here in Hakunori. It’s awesome with great scenery and beautiful weather. We like this hard snow.”, three students coming from Ueda, Nagano, said.

The clouds gradually cleared away in the north and the watery blue sky appeared. It was a beautiful day with thin sunshine, comfortable temperature, and no wind.
