The clouds covering the sky lifted around 10:00 am and the sun peeped. The slope was bright, reflecting the sunlight. Although it was a weekday between the New Year’s Holiday and the three-days holiday, the slope was as much crowded as weekends. The temperature remained low and the well-groomed courses were all in great condition.

There were skiers and snowboarders, including children who took lessons and people who practiced in groups at Wakaguri Rinkan Course. Meanwhile, there were many novice and intermediate skiers and snowboarders who ran down freely at Wakabayashi Chuo Slope, which is located next to the Rinkan Course.

A party of two, who came from Chiba and Ibaraki respectively, said “We always enjoy your reports! We enjoyed powder yesterday and today we’re enjoying groomed slope.” By the way, corduroy pattern was still left around 10:00 am on the skier’s right side of the lower area of Highway Course.

Kamoshika Course was empty as usual and I enjoyed turning widely with great speed. By the way, the three-day weekend starts tomorrow. Hakunori, which are blessed with great amount of snow this season, will be fully-open!
