Hakuba Norikura / ◎135cm / Sunny & Cloudy2017.Mar.25

17032501_hakunoriWe are favored with the calm sunny days on 4 straight weekends in March. It was warm at around 10:00 a.m. and the flat and wide slope was already melting. An original character of Otari Village, “Tari-tari kun” came skiing today.

17032502_hakunoriThe upper part of Highway Course was melting as well and started to get bumpy. However, the bumps were soft and experts were making short turns smoothly. The lower part was still flat and nicely melting.

17032503_hakunoriThe sunlight was cast and blocked again and again and we could see the peaks of Northern Alps through the breaks of clouds sometimes. The gentle slope of Hakunori Family Course was also slushy. By the way, there was 1-2cm damp fresh snow on the sides of courses and it made me slow down when I skied into there.

17032504_hakunoriWakaguri Rinkan Course was in similar condition and I found many families, such as one from Nara Pref. Only 1 week is left until the ski area finishes the operation on Apr. 2 (Sun). However, a lot of snow still remained and there were no bushes in the slopes, so I could enjoy skiing very comfortably.
